The new BMW X6 is a surprising performer for a two-ton SUV. In late 2009 it will receive a performance upgrade in the form of an X6 M. In addition to the X6 M, BMW will release an X5 M. The X5 M will get the same Dynamic Performance Control found in the X6 to allow for better handling and a sportier feel.
The powerplant found in the two will be the already familiar twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 found in the X6 xDrive50 and the 2009 BMW 750i.
